IABC Dallas Hosts Jerry Stevenson, a Professional Communicator Who Specializes in Effective Online Communication and Social Media Strategy

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On Tuesday, Nov. 9 the Dallas chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) will host its monthly lunch-and-learn series with Jerry Stevenson of Stevenson Consulting who will show attendees how to develop a well-crafted social media policy at Maggiano's Little Italy, 6001 W. Park Blvd., Plano, Texas (The Shops at Willowbend).

During the session attendees will learn why a social media policy is needed for every workplace, how to craft an effective social media policy, the seven issues a company's social media policy should address, the risks and rewards of having social media tools available in the workplace and how to communicate a such a policy to employees.

The event begins at 11:15 a.m. and ends at 1:00 p.m. The early bird registration fee is $30 for current IABC Dallas members, $45 for guests and $20 for full-time students. After Nov. 3, the fee increases by $5. Guests wishing to secure the membership rate are encouraged to join IABC.
