We appreciate remarks that are on topic and taste good. Er, we meant to say in good taste. We begin with a story that could the top the list of truly horrible crimes: a newly engaged Seattle couple, visiting Puerto Rico to celebrate the new year with his family, are severely burned when an uncle threw accelerant onto the party and then used a blowtorch to set them on fire. The Seattle Times reports on the grisly attack that killed two members of the family and left Kate Donahue, a licensed practical nurse for Group Health, and fiance Jesús Sánchez Vázquez, a Boeing engineer, with burns over 80 percent of their bodies: The family had gathered to celebrate Molina Sánchez's 32nd birthday, according to Primerahora.com, another Puerto Rican news source. "I see my husband crawling, all burned, and I think to scream, 'Oh my God, what a nightmare is this, run, run, run,' " Molina Sánchez's wife, Glorimar de Jesús, told Primerahora.com. Justino Sánchez Díaz was arrested Sunday and held on $1.5 million bail in the death of Molina Sánchez. A second murder charge was filed Monday, Primerahora.com reported. There are also rumors that the suspect has a history of mental illness.
